Nestled within the Umpqua Valley in Southern Oregon is Olalla Vineyard, which benefits from cooler breezes during the warm summer afternoons. This 4.5 acre vineyard was planted in 1973 to the 115 and Pommard Pinot noir clones. Winemaker Jacques Tardy has blended 95% Pommard and 5% 115 and aged for 21 months in 11% new French oak.
This wine is full of flavor with concentrated red and dark fruit flavors, dried herbs and a hint of lavendar. The rich, sweet texture and round tannin structure has resulted in a beautifully aged wine perfect for holiday dinners.
