The aroma opens up to herb spices (thyme?) and floral notes mixed with black and red cherries, dark chocolate, and a light – Dundee dust- earthy note.  The flavors are sweet and display a mixture of red and dark berries: red cherries, dark cherries, black berries, a mix of earthy character and spiciness.  The texture is rich and round, and the tannins fill the mouth with sweetness.  The finish is very long, big, fruity, and rich and seems to keep on getting richer and spicier. This wine will benefit from aeration and decanting, at least for the next year.
